Audrye Arbe: An 82-Year-Old Seer Still Painting the Unknown

Audrye Arbe sees things most people don’t. Always has.

As a kid in post-war Brooklyn, she noticed how people carried invisible weather around them – some crackled with stormy energy, others glowed softly. While neighbors went about their days with what she calls "blank looks," young Audrye made a quiet promise: I won’t stop seeing.

The Unconventional Education

The 1960s found her in New York City, wide-eyed amid the counterculture explosion. She experimented with LSD not for recreation, but revelation: "I needed to understand why reality felt so... adjustable." Those experiences, though sometimes harrowing, confirmed what she’d always sensed – that the world was far stranger and more layered than it appeared.

Her real teachers emerged later – shamans from various traditions who recognized her innate gifts. They didn’t teach her how to see (she’d always done that), but how to navigate what she saw.

When Spirit Picked Up a Paintbrush

Art arrived unexpectedly during meditation. Doodling "OM" shapes in notebooks led to larger canvases, then explosions of color. "The paintings aren’t mine," she insists. "I just hold the brush while the energy moves."

Her Manhattan apartment became a studio where seekers would sit for portraits – not of their faces, but their energy. One client burst into tears seeing her painting: "That’s exactly how my soul feels."

The Meditation That Built Itself

Now in Costa Rica at 82, Audrye still hosts intimate healing circles. During the podcast, she guided listeners through an impromptu meditation – no script, just following the energy like she’s done for decades.

What’s striking isn’t her clairvoyance, but her humility about it: "We all have this. I just refused to unlearn it."
